April 25 is Anzac Day and it marks the anniversary of the first campaign that led to major casualties for Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. It is considered by many Australians and New Zealanders to be one of the most solemn days of the year. The soldiers were given the nickname Diggers due to the trenches that were dug in WWI. This day recognizes the sacrifices given of those who volunteered for war. Lest we forget.
Our area is very squirrelly. You cannot go 2 minutes in our backyard without seeing one run by. Otis used to bark and chase them, but now he can’t be bothered. When a dog loses interest in squirrels, you’ve got too many squirrels.
